All good things…
It is with sadness that we must announce the end of an era and the end of Prezence.
When Prezence first started out, way back in October 2007, little did we know of the amazing journey ahead of us, culminating in many, many high points. Legends of Rock, Rhodes Rock in Lindos, joining the most amazing rock family on the planet, the birth of Stargazer and so many more amazing gigs, parties, bike rally’s, festivals and special evenings spent with good friends in fine company.
Down the years some of our founding/early band members have gone on to new projects and prospered; some have had babies, some maybe planning babies ;) … But Prezence would not have been the band it has been without the considerable input and abilities of Mr. Mark Parkin, Mr. Gee Bishop, Mr. Matt Keenan to name but a few. In addition as a band we have been truly blessed to have some of the greatest talent on the circuit work with us – Doogie White, Paul Manzi, Luka Ravaese, Mario Rhamjun, Mike Summerland, Paul Cox, Paul Holland, Rob Utley, Dave Evans, Grant Chambers, Huggy Harewood, Simon Pinto, Rhys West, Alan Hitt, Dave Heaven, Dom Bom DeSouza, Massimo Avellano, and probably many more we cannot remember ;) We had no idea of what lay ahead; the fun, pleasure and joy, the intensity, the highs and the challenges we all faced in a bid to produce a polished product we were all proud of.
So what happens now, Prezence will play a farewell gig at The Admiral Nelson, Whitton, Twickenham on Friday 1st August, where we hope to give you all something to remember us by and sing your hearts out to, and we very much hope to see as many of you there as possible. Stargazer will continue as a tribute to Rainbow/Deep Purple /Whitesnake and gig events etc. will be published well in advance. Outside of Prezence, all of us have projects we are currently working with/on. Some new, some very well established and some not yet on the road. No doubt you will see all of us out and about in the weeks, months, even years ahead. There will be links put up on this site so that you can stay in touch with each of us and also with Stargazer gigs in advance of the event as well as our other bands and projects. The classic rock/covers band circuit is in good shape with some amazing bands; some new, some well established - you are good hands -
So for now, in the words of David Coverdale ;-
I'm sad to say it's time to go, But, until we meet again along the road. Remember this on your journey home,
When you hear the thunder roar you're not alone
We wish you well, we wish you well, In times of trouble may your hearts be strong We wish you well,
we wish you well,Until we meet again, We wish you well...
